Rwenzori Expeditions the leading operator of Rwenzori Mountaineering adventures has partnered with Rwenzori Mountaineering Services the solo owner of the Rwenzori Central Circuit.
Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) signed major concession agreements with private investors to develop and manage high-end tourism to lead Trekkers to Rwenzori Mountains as the solo and oldest Trail with Rwenzori Mountains.
Rwenzori Mountaineering Services was first awarded the concession by Uganda wildlife authority in 1993 for managing the Central Circuit in Rwenzori Mountains National Park and renewed concession to continue offering Rwenzori Mountaineering tours as this has seen the partnership with Rwenzori Expeditions to allow RMS lead their clients into the Rwenzori Mountains.

Renewal of Concession of RMS
Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA)renewed the concession of Rwenzori Mountaineering services in march 2024 after the expiry of the previous and this has seen the improved service to tourists within the Rwenzori Mountains as evidenced through the construction of the new huts that are used by Trekkers through the Central circuit.
Rwenzori Expeditions do accepts that the new huts are managed by Uganda wildlife authority not yet officially handed over to the RMS so we always pay the extra 50Dollars to enjoy the overnight at the Ellen huts which are better than the old ones.
