Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and drive to Musanze
On the first day of the trip, you will be picked up from Kigali international airport by your guide/driver and proceed to Musanze. The drive offers great views of different features like plantations, rolling hills plus the locals. Arrive at the hotel of your booking in the evening for refreshment, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: A City tour in Musanze
In the morning after breakfast, check out of the lodge for a trip in Musanze tour. You will visit a number of places including the King’s Palace Museum in Nyanza and Murambi Genocide Memorial Center. Have an enroute lunch and later at around 4:00 p.m. depart to the Kitabi Eco Center to sleep like a former King in the King’s Palace.
Day 3: Canopy walk in Nyungwe forest national park
Have your breakfast at the lodge and check out for your transfer to Nyungwe forest national park for a canopy walk experience in the Nyungwe forests and mountains. Visit the Canopy Walk suspension bridge and the rest area of Uwinka Canopy Walkway.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and something else if there is time.
Wake up for your breakfast at the lodge and drive to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking experience. You will walk through the park rainforests in search of the playful chimpanzees. You will enjoy the moment with the apes as you take videos and pictures for memory keeping. After, return to the lodge for lunch and then check out for your transfer to Democratic Republic of Congo for an overnight.

Day 5: Drive to Kahuzi Biega national park for gorilla trekking
Wake for your breakfast at the lodge and proceed to Kahuzi Biega national park, the only destination for the lowland gorillas. You will start from the park offices for registration and briefing about the dos and don’ts of the experience. You will be assigned to one of the four habituated eastern lowland gorilla groups and then by the lead of the ranger, you will hike through the jungle in search of the apes. Upon the arrival, you will be allowed to spend 4 hours in their presence as you enjoy their daily lifestyles like feeding, playing and many others. After, you will drive to the lodge of your booking for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Water Falls Nature walk in Kahuzi Biega
Wake up for your breakfast at the lodge and go for a nature walk through the forests of the park. you will spot different features including waterfalls like the Chute de Tshibati waterfall (Parc Kahuzi Biega) where the waterfalls are visited 0:45 minutes each way 1.7 km. From the walk, return to the lodge for refreshment, dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Full day drive to northern land of Rwanda
Have your breakfast at the lodge and check out for your transfer to the northern part of Rwanda where attractions like Volcanoes national park are found. Arrive the destination in the evening and check in at the lodge of your booking for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Cultural tour
Have your breakfast at the lodge and drive to Gorilla Guardians village formerly known as Ibyiwacu Cultural Village for cultural experience. You will enjoy the cultural practices of the locals like dances, songs, drumming and others. Also, you will get a chance of becoming a queen or king of Rwanda for that moment as you take pictures for memory keeping.

Day 9: Visit different lakes in Rwanda and then cross to Uganda
Enjoy your tasty breakfast at the lodge and drive off to different lakes like the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Later, you will cross to Uganda via Cyanika border and proceed to the lakes including lake Mutanda and Lake Bunyonyi for a calm evening after an enroute lunch. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery around as you spot different species like birds, vegetation and others.

Day 10: Drive to Queen Elizabeth national park

Check in at the park with an afternoon game drive, a great opportunity to view several animals including the four of the five big African animals – lions, elephants, leopards and buffalos. Day 11: Early morning game drive and visit the crater lakes
In the morning at 6:30 am, meet your drive for your game drive in Katunguru for excursion of the climbing lions. Also, you will see other animals like elephants, leopards, hyenas, waterbucks, bushbucks, and others. After, drive back to the lodge for lunch and later go for crater lakes visit. Begin the route of the salt and culture volcanoes, the craters of Lake Murumuu, lake Nyamunuka, Crater Drive, Katwe Salt Lake where we visited the salt mine and also visited the Kikorongo women’s community, monument to the Equator.
Day 12: Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge
Wake up with your packed breakfast and leave to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee trekking experience. The experience starts with a briefing at the park headquarters and then a hike through the rainforests in search of the species. You will enjoy a full hour in presence of the chimps and later drive back to the lodge for lunch. After, you will go for a safari excursion through the Reina Isabel Park and then drive off to Fort Portal passing through the line of Ecuador.

Day 13: Crater lake visit and hot springs of Semliki national park
In the morning we visit the route through the volcanoes and craters of the Kibale park in the afternoon the hot springs of Sempaya Female hot spring and the male hot springs, The Male Hot Spring. After a few visits and seeing how the eggs are boiled, we went to the Silver Oaks Hotel Boma.

Day 14: Drive to Murchison falls national park
Wake up in the morning for your breakfast and then check out of the lodge for your transfer to Uganda largest and oldest national park. You will pass by different features like Lake Albert, Bugungu, Kigwera, Kimoli and Paraa Reserve to reach Murchison Falls Bamboo Village. Arrive at the park in the evening and check in at the lodge of your booking for dinner and overnight.

Day 15: Morning game drive and boat cruise
Wake up for your breakfast at the lodge and go for an early morning game drive in the open plains of the park. You will encounter different wildlife during the game drive and among these include the early hunters like lions, leopards, hyenas and many others. Other animals to see include the grazing animals like elephants, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, bush bucks and others.
After, drive back to the lodge for your lunch and later go for an afternoon boat cruise on Victoria Nile. You will spot a number of aquatic animals like Nile crocodiles, hippos, elephants quenching their thirst, numerous water birds, plus the unique vegetation along the shores. After, drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 16: Boat cruise and nature walk at Budongo forest
Enjoy your breakfast at the lodge and then proceed to a morning cruise on the delta of the Nile river. You will spot several aquatic animals like Nile crocodiles, hippos, water birds and others. After, drive to Eco Lodge of Budongo for lunch as you prepare for an afternoon nature walk in Budongo forests. The walk provides you will numerous animals like chimpanzees, monkeys, and some bird species. Night at the Budongo Eco Lodge hotel.
Day 17: Drive back to Kampala
Have your breakfast at the lodge and drive back to Kampala with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Arrive in Kampala in the evening hours and check in at Hotel Savanna Suites Limited for dinner and overnight.
Day 18: Kampala city tour
In the morning, have your breakfast and proceed with a city tour through different places of Kampala like markets, historical places like museums, worshipping places and also go for cultural experience at the Ndere Cultural Center show. Later, drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
